- The Barn at Olde Homeplace is not climate controlled, which is why we typically only allow events from March – June and September – December. We do have limited gas heaters and cooling fans.
- Trash service is not included. Renters are responsible for removing all of their trash.
- There is no ice machine. We recommend utilizing the space underneath the bar for coolers with loose ice.
- We do not have a stove/oven for insurance reasons – though we do have a kitchen space with a refrigerator, sink, and ample outlets. Chafing dishes with Sterno cans and crock pots are allowed.

Are there any catering requirements?
No! We welcome any and all caterers to The Barn. Just keep in mind we do not offer a full kitchen, but do have a refrigerator and sink.
What time do we need to end our event?
Music needs to end by 10:00PM, and everyone needs to vacate the property by 11:00PM. For other timing information, reference your contract.
Is there anything specific that is not allowed?
Yes, we do NOT allow the following:
- Candles or open flames inside the barn for fire safety reasons.
- Confetti inside or outside the venue.
- Using nails (zip ties are to be used for hanging objects).
- Moving the large pews, wooden barrels, or bathtub.
- Non-supervision of children.
- Any violations of local, state, or federal law (No Alcohol served to MINORS).
- Theft, removal of, or damage to any personal property of the Lessor.
Do you rent to photographers for sessions?
Yes, we would love to have you! You can utilize our space for $25/session. Contact us to schedule your visit.
Is there anywhere to stay on the property?
Our Home Place Hideaway or The Pond House might just be available – contact us to see!
How many people can the barn accomodate?
Seated at one time, the barn can accommodate 150-175 people, plus more if the loft is rented.
Is the venue handicap accessible?
Yes, we have upgraded our concrete areas to make the space more accessible for guests in wheelchairs. An aluminum ramp for restrooms access is available upon request.
Do I need to put the chairs away after my event?
No – unless they are outside, then please move them inside.
Are there directions I can send to my guests?
While we can confirm that Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze will send you straight to us – here are some written out directions as well:
From the Bypass at Bulloch Academy, go west on Westside Road. Go about 0.8 miles and make a right turn past Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church onto Banks Dairy Road.
Go 2.5 miles and turn right onto Johnny Brannen Road. Go 0.9 miles and the destination will be on the right.
Parking is BEHIND the barn. Enter through the drive that is marked by a white board fence.
